Try checking the linkage from the sensor on the control arm. Linkage can pop off or break from large impacts.

If you can not adjust the headlight with the normal adjustment screws then I would say your issue is within the headlight. There is a pivot point the projector connects to that dislodges itself if you hit large pot holes or have a very harsh impact. Remove the wheel well cover and removed the cover as you would to swap the headlight bulb. On the top of the projector you can see the pivot point that needs to be clipped back in. If you hit too hard it will need to be glued. I hit an expansion joint at a bridge in DC and it knocked mine off and was able to clip it back in. Stealership will only replace the whole headlight. This is a easy DIY for someone with small hands leaving the headlight on the car.

Possible silver lining: If both headlights are pointed down, is can be the leveling sensor under the car. if just one headlight, you pretty much have to pull the front bumper and swap out the headlight housing since that little part that broke is not available in repro. I did mine it too all day but I am not speedy in the garage. if you buy the base Hella unit with no bulbs it is approx $630. if you buy the fully loaded unit it is more like $1,300.

Thank You! Seems like a lot of money. Il have to maybe do it myself or leave it as is. Only passenger side went down. Still works good, it's just pointing down. Maybe I can find a used headlight Il buy it. |
