That render seems a bit off in some areas it does nevertheless make clear that if bmw puts a serious effort into this car (making into a true drivers car, not just an overpowered video game car with copy paste parts from other m cars) this could be a serious contender to the amg sl and amg gts, putting bmw back in its rightful place as king of the drivers car in the relative mainstream.

Wishful thinking? Maybee. But let's keep hope and see if they dash them like so many recent cars.

Hint to bmw: just stuffing more power and bigger brakes into this will simply not cut it against the gts or f type for that matter.

Definitely with you on that. Car makers are lazy these days (particularly BMW) they just throw in the M5 v8, brakes, LSD in everything and call it a new model. Cars used to have distinct powertrains, distinct flavors. Now engineers w/ computers and the accountants try to be to too efficient and just copy/paste everything.

As far as the render, it actually looks decent. but those front grills though. Seriously, BMW. You have to do something about those. They look awful. The proportions on most of your cars front ends looks way off these days that whole kdney grill into the headlights thing is not working too well. The new 5-Series almost got it right but it looks kind of awkward still. I mean I'd still love to own one but if the face is just 10% off, it makes me view the car as a temporary experience (lease) and not something i passionately want to own.

I hope you’re right, but it looks like it might weigh as much as the F10.
