Help...little turbo not boosting...

I have been chasing a problem with little to no low boost for a while in my down time..I have narrowed it down to the electronic valve that controls the front turbo is not working. I swapped it with the one from the EGR cooler since that isn't needed anymore and still nothing..After tons of tests and replacing all vac lines I finally got a meter out and found the power connector for that valve is only putting out .88 volts..so I tested the power for the EGR one it's 13.xx I have no clue if this is normal or not but it's the only lead I have. The plug connects directly to the DME so I'm wondering if there is a relay/fuse or if it's possible to have a bad mosfet or something in the DME.. Any help is appreciated.

Thx!

Here is something that should help you a little:

The little electric switchover valve that you are testing the voltage on should be as you have described. If this is the same as EGR cooler bypass one then there are ways to test it as described in the above link. It should be off at idle and only come on after 2800-3000 rpm and certain boost.

Thank for that information! I definitely believe you are correct. After reading this I swapped pressure converters and it definitely brought the little turbo back. I ordered a new pair hopefully that will be the end of it!

Very well could also be injectors.. I had similar that Yozh and many more helped me out with. My rear 3 injectors with 85,000 before cbu cleaning where so gunked up with carbon. Once replaced my low end power came back. All my converters, vac lines, actuators were all replaced right before I did my injectors. At the time I did replace all 6 injectors after I did the PITA CBU. Hopefully it's just the preasure converter, but keep in mind those back injectors get bad and my back 2 also had rust

Depends how good are you. Replace all the vacuum lines at the same time. At least a few hours if you know what you are doing.
