Reputable Performance Shops in Michigan?

I'm looking for a very professional and reputable shop that can do a DPF, SCR, and Muffler Delete. Obviously I live in Michigan, so I do not have to worry about emission testing. I contacted Motorwerks down by Detroit but have not heard back yet.

Go up to Gaylord. Matt Whitbread deleted all of my alphabet items, he has done it all on his own car as well. I can't imagine anyone more expert on these diesels than him, and you'll learn a lot in the process.

Whitbread lives on the exact opposite end of the country for me, and has still helped me out countless times with all of my questions. He knows what he is doing.

Okay I can't get a hold of whitbread. True email and phone listed on his website. Not sure if he is still in business or not. I got a quote on a full dpf delete from motorwerks by Detroit and they priced it at $1700. Which seems like quite a lot for this. Is this a normal price ?

Ouch. That seems way too high. I believe Matt is on vacation currently. Hasn't been too active from what I've seen.

$1700 is not bad IF that includes a down pipe and exhaust to the mufflers and labor

No that did not include parts. That was just labor and tuning.

Which tune? Depending on the tune, that may not be bad, but I'd wait for Matt. Super knowledgeable dude, master welder and mechanic, owns a 335d himself and has been wrenching on diesels for a loooong time. Again, like Torqu3 said...I wish I live closer.

He's a busy dude, so may not be quick to reply, but he will and is very fair with pricing.

Tune was the wrong word. Just to flash the ECU to accept the DPF delete.

Kyle, go with a reputable tuner. The flash should include a "tune" either performance or economy based. I see you are in a 328D, so may be some differences I am not thinking of...

Oh wow, yeah I didnt notice the 328D.....going to be some differences and I dont even know of JR has a tune for you at the moment, however, I think Matt is friends with a guy that may be able to help you....
