I moved from Iowa two years ago and I don't know the best way to get safe extra garage space. I've got one small space at my condo building but it's too narrow with three cars on a 24 foot wide lot and I have one space rented close by month to month.

Does anyone have any experience with trial and error on what works?

Look for another garage. I had a garage space attached to my unit in Wicker Park, and then rented a separate 1.5 wide space in two car garage across my street. Had my car in the separate garage, and my finacee's X3 in the attached.

Appreciate that. I guess it's more common than I thought to just rent close by garages.

i rent a 2 car garage space for work in the city. lots of people don't use their garage and rent them out.
