Videos and Photos from test and tune track day with KW Clubsport 3ways

A lot of improvements have been made since my last post. Recently I got my hands on KW Clubsport 3 way coilovers. Fall Line Racing spherical bearings and adjustable end links. I also added more aero from APR Performance. Their side rocker extensions, canards, and double carbon splitter with bumper supports. I changed the front BBS FIRS from 20 to 19'' and finally running RE71rs 200 treadware. Full gts interior for some weight reduction.

I shot these photos from my test and tune day with some close friends. I was able to shave off 1.80 seconds from my previous time which felt amazing considering I was stuck in 1:28.xx for a while. I also attached a link to the driver view video.

My coach arllc did a 1:22.43 I will post shortly. His personal best on thunderhill west is 1:20.20 Z4M full aero and slicks.

Incredible! Using the car for what it was meant to do!

I also track my car but I’m not nearly as good. Great job!

I’m in NJ. Been going to NJMP, Poconos Raceway (sucks) and recently VIR.
VIR is by far the best track I’ve been on so far.

How about you ?

One of my videos from VIR.

And a full trip video

Greg FEightytwo how's the Clubsport 3-Way holding up? do you have any clunking sound coming from the front like some others have reported in the forum?

with regard to the 19" BBS FI-R, is there any concern of stones / pebbles being stuck between the front CCB calipers and wheels creating grooves in the inner barrels (again like some others, using 19" wheels but not FI-R though, reported in this forum)?

very nice ride and track driving btw!

Hey Pong,

They are going strong. They recommend them being rebuilt every 10k miles if you use them for track.

The 19s are mm away from the ccb so it can happen. I have not had that issue with the FIR

Set up is bullet proof now. I just ordered new recaro leather seats. I can't wait to try them out on Sonoma Raceway May 1st.

Greg FEightytwo thx. great for you that there is no clunking sound nor groove in the front wheel barrels.

btw do you need to jack up the car for changing the compression (both high and slow speed) and rebound settings?

good luck on 1st May, pls share more videos!

compression is on the top of the strut in the front. rebound you can turn the wheel to get to it.

the rears definitely need to jack the car up. its beat to have a jack period. i had ten mm spacers to make the front look like the back and i had to take them off at laguna the corkscrew compressed the wheel all the way in and was rubbing.

i had them from the ohlins rt because the spring perch was larger and it was necessary. the kws aren't as big so its optional
