My Carbon footprint

I’m continuing with my CF obsession.

Installed upper Cf splitters and side skirts. Rear bumper is next.
I also had my roof wrapped gloss black (I have the sunroof) and a CF antenna cover installed.

I love the way it all came out! Rear skirts and spoiler and maybe mirror caps are next.

Any regrets in getting the sunroof option over the CF roof?

No

It took me longer to find a sunroofed car. I’m big into roof racks and you can’t do that with a CF roof. I also love the extra light. And lastly I love to place my GoPro mount there for my VLOGs and at the track.

So in summary: I love my sunroof! Hehe

He's making up for the CF roof deficiency elsewhere

It looks good so far but how's the reception the the roof antenna covered in CF (it's a CF cover right)? Doesn't that block the SAT radio signal? Have you tried the road side assistance button with it installed?

Car is looking great. Looks mean with the black 513m wheels.

Nice videos so far - keep it up.

That's funny, I too found the sunroof useful for suction cup mounts in my old E90.

On the F8x with ZCP seats, you can mount a suction cup directly on the back of the seats.

I don’t pay for satellite. AM and FM works well.

Good question about the roadside assistance - I guess if I ever need to use it I will pry the cover off

Yeah the car is shaping up nicely! Agree with the sentiment on the wheels - they really elevate the aggression level against the blue.

Cheers.

In your install video on the blades, are they CF overlay or full CF? The reason I asked is because it looked like you screwed it without predrilling holes for the screws. With a pure CF part, that would crack around the screw holes.

I did this exact install last weekend and would recommend you use something (or someone) to help push the blades flush against the rocker panel before securing both ends. Basically take out the sag/slack to ensure that once you start screwing the middle in, there's no bulges created by the sag. Otherwise the DIY video is spot on.

So my buddy tells me they’re 80% cf and 20% something else.
Having said that, they did develop Tiny cracks around the screw holes. I should have predrilled them. My mistake.

Great point about the middle. I actually ended up taping them in the middle to eliminate the slack.

Thanks for watching the video by the way!

What brand are your CF upper splitters/fangs? I'm looking for ones that aren't too expensive and fit decently.

I suggest you get the OEM ones and wrap them in gloss black film.
Not sure you can get gloss-class plastic side skirts

why no CF?

I personally would prefer the Gloss black not to mention the cost. I had them on my 2015 M4 but I traded it for 2018 M3 and it looks like they only make black ones for the coupe and not the sedan.

Coupe and sedan are the same. If you watch my video I show you how to modify the M4 skirts to fit on an m3
