New 2018 M3 and new forum member
Good morning to all. Tuesday I traded in my 15' m235i and came home with a 2018 silverstone metallic m3 with competition package, exec, and driver assistance. This is a dream for me as I have always wanted to make the leap to the M division, long before I ever had my first BMW. I've only had one evening driving the car so I haven't managed to take any quality pics yet, or an extensive drive for that matter. Today we have snow in NY so as soon as it all clears up I will be posting some pics, as well as some good long drives and impressions. Just wanted to introduce myself on the forum. HAve a great day people.
Update 1/19: Sorry for the long delay my fellow members. Between having the flu and the terrible weather we have had in NY the last few weeks, it took longer than usual to get her clean and ready for some pics. These are ehh iphone pics but I'm on the forums long enough to know I must post something or else it didn't happen lol. Here are a few parking lot pics while I ran around getting my meds. |

I too am coming out of a 2015 M235 and am a proud owner of 2018 BMS , DCT, non-ZCP, exec, 19 inch, DAP, BS, Apple Play. Have added an aggressive CF 3 fin diffuser and CF rear bumper spoilers. Also the blacked out IND side light marker replacements. Sitting on a CF trunk spoiler, too cold to install at this point. Will look at front CF lip late spring. Live in Nassau County, welcome.
On performance snows for season, 265 back 255 front, Blizzaks, no issues so far last 30 days. Today NO WAY, warming in garage. |

Thank you all. I am really stoked about this being in my driveway, and of course being mine too . I've asked my co worker to pinch me twice the day I picked it up and the day after also just to assure me I'm not still asleep here. The m track day at Monticello I did this summer was all I needed to ensure that I had to make this move. Excited isn't the word. Thanks for chiming in with your congrats guys. Stay warm out there.

nice, congrats!
bmw does a great job marketing its vehicles on track days and events. Sounds like you had a great time with a M3 WOT and not some dinky little test drive. it's a great car, have fun!

Congrats! If you could post your thoughts on ride quality coming from your m235i it would be helpful.
Some complain the highway experience in the M3/4 is too noisy and harsh? My next car in 2020 will probably the (new) M3, but it would need to be great on long road trips or my wife will be whining every mile. |

Congrats Steve, I picked mine up at the end of October and still can't believe it's mine. Wherever I park it, I still have to turn around and look at her while I'm walking away.
Just a thought ...Living up in NY, you probably ought to think about getting a winter set of wheels if this is going to be a DD. |
