The title pretty much speaks for itself

I’m also 90% sure this is a car with iDrive 4.0, therefore most likely an early car. Those are clearly Rolls-Royce gongs, which are identical to those I coded on my 2016 F10 550i with iDrive 4.0. I’m not sure if the Rolls-Royce gongs are different in iDrive 5/6, I’d have to code my F80 to be sure. EDIT: Zoom in on the iDrive, it’s clearly 4.0, therefore pre LCI and potentially pre-crank hub bed change. Wasn’t a complete solution but I haven’t heard much since. Was the engine taken apart and it found to be a crank hub failure or this just a guess?

Engine is in the process of being taken apart, this is a very educated guess.
Codes where something like: Intake cam position signal implausible Exhaust cam position signal implausible High pressure pump position sensor signal implausible Frankly, there is a 99% it is crank hub. |
