strange audio problem with logic 7.....all sound cuts out intermitently

So this has happened twice in the last week....Im playing my ipod or sirius in my 2008 e92 with logic7 and all of a sudden SILENCE! I change to any source including AM,FM,IPOD,CD,and Sirius...all no sound at all and no mute on. Then if i hit the center armrest console it will come back and everything will be fine. There must be some sort of wire short all of a sudden or something lame like that...anyone else had this issue>???

Thanks

i have had this issue in my m6 with logic 7 when i would play at full volume for longer periods (30-45+minutes) and then it would cut out completely for a minute or two as if muted-- turns out the little amps get hot and cutoff til they cool- according to the dealer.

I had the same problem when I first picked up my e90 and was about to take it to the dealer. Then I simply jiggled the ipod aux connectioin and voila! So yeah, next time it happens to you, jiggle the connection and see if that works.

sounds like a wire is loose or short.
