Are the regular services covered?

I was told for 2018 that Bmw changed their service plan? Do they cover the regular service intervals or do you have to buy the maintenance plan for that?

I was told scheduled maintenance no longer covers wiper blades and brake pads

Such a great thing about BMW. If Benz offered it, they would go bankrupt! I know, I own a '17 GLS and have owned MBs for past 10 yes, the GLS is the last and switching to an X7 for the fam dam!

My wife's Audi A4 just had its 2 year/20,000 mile service and it was just over $400 for that plus an oil change.

Are you saying all BMWs throw this service in for free, or just the M cars?

It is not free.

You are paying it in the lease.

I'm sure I'm paying for it somehow, but this is much better than getting hit with a $500+ bill down the road, IMO.

How about brake rotors?

When BMW services the brakes, they tend to replace both the pads and rotors. Since pads are no longer covered, are rotors excluded as well? This will add $$$$ to the service.

Correct. Pads and rotors are no longer covered under the scheduled maintenance program. But honestly, I haven't gone through a set of rotors in under 4 years since I was doing track events twice a month.

Correct, it's a $600 option for coverage that I refused. In 21k on my 550i Msport, I never even changed a pad!
