Which options/packages will really increase the resale value of a used X5?

So this is probably a strange question and probably the wrong way of looking at things. But what options/packages increase the resale value of the X5.
I am looking to purchase my first X5, and my plan is to keep it for 2 - 3 years and then sell it (my wife hates that attitude, but trying to work logically here). I have no problem spending more monthly on certain upgrades, if that will translate into me being able to sell it for more. Certain upgrades I am sure are worth more to a second hand buyer then other upgrades.
Currently a 2016 pretty basic X5 goes at the auctions for about $35k. So being that this is a new design, I can probably get that same amount if I sell the 2019 X5 in three years. But what would options would increase the value in relation to the purchase cost.

Thank you

I am seeing lots of folks here are stating that DHP is a must have. I didn't have on my F15, but I had it on F10. I may buy used one now and I wouldn't mind to pay a thousand or two for that option.
In my personal opinion this is the list of must haves for 2016 F15:
HUD
DHP
Comfort seats
Comfort access
Cold weather package (I guess it is now available only as options: heated steering wheel and heated rear seats)
H&K

Unfortunately from what I read, DHP is only on the 50 which will add another $15k to the purchase. Does DHP add that much resale value?

Thank you

No option enhances resale value. Dealers will pay based on base price and not options. Options are there to enhance your enjoyment of the vehicle not the resale value from my experience.

Ageeed.

And, I'd expect the resale on the 50 to be a lower percentage than the 40.

This.

Extra options may speed up the sale, however adding to resale value is something that rarely occurs.

Agree that options do little for resale value.

Don't buy if your going to unload the car in 2-3 years. The resale value on almost all German luxury cars stinks, especially in the short run. Lease the car for 36 months and then get something new. You will save thousands over the same time frame.

So true. I may have purchased my last car with the 2017 X5 were selling in favor of the order in on the 2019 waiting on.

With options, nothing you can do to increase resale. Just get what you want and can afford.

Leasing even with kids, as we just purchased the lease protection which I haggled the price on.
