Does any one know how long it takes for the stereo/radio to shut off without enabling the door locks? Wheter it's the radio, a CD, or my ipod, if i shut the car off and leave it without locking the doors, the stereo stays on. I've let it go like 5 minutes and it doesn't shut off. Is this supposed to be a safety feature to force us to lock the doors? Or am I being impatient and not giving it long enough?

Are you pushing the start button twice, the first time shuts the engine down, and then you need to push again too shut everything down.

Thank you, for both responses. This site has been a Godsend with my new car.

And yeah I thought my only options were locking the car or hitting the stop button twice. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't supposed to be an auto shut down. I've had some weird problems since I hooked up my ipod and thought this was another one.

or you can just hold down the button a little longer and it will shut everything down

My stereo shuts off as soon as I take the key out -- how are you guys keeping yours on?

I believe it's 10 minutes, just like if you hit the button to turn it on and leave it, like you're listening to the radio while you clean the car. Though, I noticed that at some point they've made it so you could turn the radio on a second time and it would stay on for much longer, I'm guessing until you turn it off.

I have Comfort Access System... No key inserted.

Sometimes if I'm outside I turn the stereo on because I know I won't be outside that long, but want some music on. It stays on for somewhere around 10-15 minutes.
