Why 5 and 7 don't have this but 3 has...doesn't make any sense. Premium buyers pay more for less?! Come on.

Jay, great job and thank you for posting this!

My take - not close to what Audi offers and that is really disappointing. A lot of space is wasted on the speedo and tach gauges. Audi allows you to go digital on the speedo and use the real estate for other things.

My S4 has full color, full width google maps in the driver's display if I want it. It's far more configurable with better styling and better graphics. This looks gimmicky, over styled, and last-gen. Pretty disappointing. BMW is falling behind in more and more ways to Audi.

If you do not have your nav map in perspective mode, you're doing it wrong.

Not a fan. Ugly graphics and all that info is already displayed in present displays in better ways.

It reminds me of C4 Corvette pumpkin orange digital instrument cluster circa 1992.

The point is that some people(like you) like conservative design and me want a manual. But BMW is moving to new design and automatic. Why? Because we are small percentage. They are in business to make money. So they have to satisfy the majority. But no latest design and tech in a premium model but debut in cheaper model, is not a good business decision. Most people who pay premium want the latest tech. When they pay more but get old tech while the cheaper model has it. They won't be happy. BMW is used to have new tech in 7 then 5 then 3, for example new parking camera, new driver assistance, etc. But this time is odd

More like a discount version of X5, minus half of the ambient lighting, minus nappa leather, minus seat ventilation and massaging, minus soft close door and all the other luxury features, you have yourself a new 3 series

Tell that to the S class owner that was worse tech than the new A class. When 7 and 5 get their LCIs this tech will be there.

LCI is what I am waiting for. But I doubt there will be completely new interior design. Just idrive 7 and new dash i think.
