Dunno. The dealers near the panhandle haven't impressed me at all. BMW of Montgomery and the BMW dealer in Fort Walton beach are the two that I've been to. Haven't heard anything about Tallahassee

The market really does vary from region to region, and from model to model. If you look around in this (and other) forums, the few hours you spend will be well used for the knowledge you get of the current pricing. You could also learn about hidden rebates and other tricks that could save you thousands.

I just took delivery of an e92 a week and a half ago. I did the whole "shopping a bunch of dealers to find one who'll work a deal up from Invoice, rather than down from MSRP". I ended up with about $9,000 below the final, all-included MSRP. And I knew where every penny was. But it took me hours to do all that research, and luck in finding a really great sales associate. (Josh at Fowler Motors, Conway, SC).

If I'd wanted a 'vert, or something hotter in the marketplace, I'd have had to pay more, and that's the way it works.

Also, if you can make the 1-way trip up to Spartanburg, SC and do the PDC delivery, it really doesn't matter whom you buy it from. You could get it from a dealer in Nebraska. Or even better, look around this forum for dealers here. And the PDC was just as incredible as they said it would be.

Good Luck!

There's a $1200 rebate on auto's this month (not 6 speeds though). Realistically you can get $2k off of MSRP in the state of Fl it appears. (which is more than a fair deal unless you are purchasing an automatic). And 1.9% if you currently have a BMW I picked up mine from Reeves here in Tampa. If you do decide to purchase in Tampa ask for "Roger Ballan" @ Reeves BMW (great guy to deal with). GL on your purchase.

Just to clarify, this works on the steptronic 335i right? Is the rebate taken off instantly or is it physically a rebate you will receive after purchasing the car?

Is this rebate good for cars that need to be ordered? I have a few dealerships tell me that it is only good for cars that have a Build date before March.

That I am not too sure on...but from my knowledge the finance deal is on cars that are already built.

Allpro imports in Ocala will deal. Jamie Annese. She is a Porsche SA but she has some family connects whithin the dealership and will deal if you push.
Basically your not getting a good number until the SA won't call you back

NEVER work down from MSRP, work up from invoice.

Make a list of all the EXACT specs you want, and write down the invoice price of each (packages, rims, floor mats, Sirius, heated seats, PDC, etc.)

Total it, and that's the invoice price.

Differrent dealers add different 'fees' (really, extra dealer profit).

A delivery fee is non-negotiable, and varies from region to region, but is a legitimate fee.

An 'advertising fee' (MACO) is also non-negotiable to most dealers, but it's still dealer profit.

Pick up the phone or email different dealers to find out which of their 'fees' are non-negotiable.

Decide how much over invoice you want to spend. Then, pick the closest dealer, and give them your spreadsheet, showing the total invoice price, fees, and how much other profit you want that dealer to have.

If they have a fee that it not legit (in your opinion), then subtract that from the 'additional dealer profit' line item (e.g., if you want to pay $1K over invoice, and they have a $200 'training fee', give them only $800 in additional profit).

If they take it, you're done. If not, on to the next dealership.

Make sure your spreadsheet is all-inclusive. Don't forget a thing. Do your homework, researching online, about all options.

I included option codes for all options, so there would be no mistakes. Invoice pricing available in the Car Ordering subforum.

My working spreadsheet that I used:

+1!
That's a very well described process. I just went through all this last month, and it was very gratifying to know "to the penny" what everything cost and where the money was going. It let me make clear decisions on things, like if I wanted to add accessories and such.

Well Done!

Call Matt Hoffman or Jim Drake at Lynch in Daytona...save yourself some time and don't bother with Tom Bush.
