iPhone+BT+update = no audio received

I'm trying to troubleshoot from 9,000 miles away... My wife had to take in the '06 E90 to have the steering wheel lock issue taken care of. Instead of swapping out the steering column they did a software update. So far that alone has solved the steering column issue. However, now for some reason the Bluetooth connection has been acting up. When I call her in the car, the BT registers the call (iPhone v1.1.4) and she's able to pick up via the steering wheel button. However, while I can hear her fine she can't hear me. It's like the BT doesn't connect to the speakers. My guess is the software update screwed something up (I think it's 29.something, but I haven't verified because I'm currently deployed). Any similar issues out there? Any ideas besides a second trip to the dealer? Thanks.

Try deleting the phone in the car's bluetooth and then re-pair it.
