ipod touch on the go playlist problem

No Idrive. When I create an on-the go playlist on the Itouch, I can't find it in the playlist list in the car. I have the 6FL and the Y cable. All the other features work fine. Any thoughts? I tried a search (several) and couldn't find any answers.
