Has anyone installed their own spoiler?
I just got a new OEM spoiler for my Z4.. I'm wondering if anyone has installed their own? If so, how did you do it? Did you use double-sided tape or did you use glue.. The dealer gave me a "BETALINK" adhesive kit.. It sure looks messy... Thanks... Chuck

If the dealer gave you an adhesive to mount it then I'm assuming that is what you're supposed to use. If you had them use it they'd probably use the same stuff. I wonder if the adhesive is removable. Usually the industrial strength double sided tapes remove paint so not sure if the wing would be removable after that.

It looks like it's going to be a mess... Just wondering... did you put the Betalink all the way out or just in the "square" areas on the bottom of the wing??... It looks to me if it's just in the "square' areas, the outer part of the wing will vibrate... The instructions are so poor... I'm thinking about having it done... Thanks... Chuck

Just finished the installation. All I can say is you don't want to do it yourself without special tools. I had my friend who works as a glazier to help me. I love the result tho'

double-sided tape
I have a black car & the fin was not perfect at the ends when i test fitted. It would raise up from the natural rear deck curve. So i used 3m auto tape, i am leaving it on till winter then I will insatll with glue so it will fit perfect + i want to make sure I like it on the car before i make it a part of the car.
