Brake Dust Heaven

After a year of owning my car it was time to put my foot down on the damn brake dust problem. I visited Rocco @ RMP Motors one day and he told me he had a solution. He slapped on a set of PBR brake pads and told me the brake dust would be reduced quite a bit. Quite a bit? After a few weeks of driving theres zero brake dust. I'm not joking. The rims might actually be getting cleaner. I left the rears alone and now they are getting black like the fronts used to. I'm thinking of putting them back there now too. I'm not sure what exact model the pads were but he did say they were new. I have an e92 328 which are probably the same as the e90's. Not sure what he has for the 335's but it might be worth looking into. Cleaning the car is a joke now.

Cheers

Wow I'm definitely down for that. My only question is the pad performance. Are they as good as OEM brakes?

Well I don't track the car or race around town hard enough to really notice any difference. They may not be as good as OEM but then again I'm just guessing here. They're fine for me.

i had those dustless brakes before, you're sacrificing stopping power... when you need that grip the most it will not be there, i'm sticking with oem

My situation was unique. He gave them to me for testing purposes. Best thing to do is call him up.

How do you know you had these? They're new. Also your brakes are different. Not sure what he has for 335's. I don't notice anything different in stopping power. I'm more than happy.

There was an article in the latest car and driver. Porsche guys said that they can ever have dustless pads, or Fantastic performance. You can see what they chose.

Ill stick to my OEM pads, and just clean my wheels after every drive. Plus they are free for me
