Power windows are VERY slow!!
Has anyone noticed that the power windows int he G05 are EXTREMELY slow to open and close? Is this a setting that can be changed somewhere? Am I missing something?
I am in the Army and have to go through security check points quite often and I noticed that it takes a loooooong time for these windows to go up and down. Is there something i can do to remedy this? Thanks in advance! |

I did notice that yesterday, just thought to myself that seems slower than the old car, seems about 30% slower to me.

LOL. I posted about this too in my long write-up I did awhile ago.
But, I've come to actually like them. Why? Because of the sound they make while moving...they are the best sounding windows I've heard! Every time they open and close I think of the sound a door makes on a spaceship in a movie. It makes this very satisfying whirring sound with a great "schlump" sound as it completes it's close. Listen next time you open/close them...you too will come to appreciate it!

Funny - My thought on the automatic window performance was, this is way more quiet. I'm comparing it to the E70, which had a solid finish/clunk. The G05 has a more subtle/quiet close... maybe the speed is why. Had not thought about that.
Overall, I like the G05 closing mechanism/motor better - very quiet. Keep in mind, I'm jumping a generation. |

It is a bit slower but it does have a very refined and smooth operation. It’s one of those many undefined mundane features that oozes quality in the new X5. Seat operation is another. Everything is so solid and smooth even beyond the normal German luxury car expectations. I noticed these things right away while cross shopping with the X5.

It is smooth and quiet, yes... But is there ANY way we can make it go faster? This is getting really annoying
