Seat leather issue
FYI this happened a few days ago.. took it to dealer and they tried to re-fasten it but it "kept popping off." Had to order new parts (dunno what parts) from Germany so it's a two week wait. Not a major issue but clearly some design flaw. This is Canberra Beige Vernasca.

Are they luxury seats? It looks like a simple plastic clip. This is how most seating covers are attached. They fold alll the way over and the long plastic clip attaches to the seat frame.

Reason I ask is because of how the front attaches can be different. I was gonna check how mine attach. I have attached covers on other vehicle seats with the same attachment system and it can be tricky to get that plastic clip in the correct locking channel it sits in. BMW may even use a additional clamp.

Also when I reach down and feel around there is some weird white substance that looks like white lithium grease. I thought it was adhesive but it's it sticky at all. |

I just went out and checked mine in the garage. Mine are Merino massaging seats so I don’t know how different they are but there is absolutely no room where that clip slides up into the front of the seat. I believe the massage motor is why there is no room. Regardless, I would never be able to reattach mine if I had to and I think there is a additional clamp. I suspect you may be missing that additional clamp. White stuff is grease that sits on the adjustment rails.

Good point! I'll follow up on this post when whatever they ordered comes in. "Germany" in this case might just be a code word for "I don't know where stuff is made I just click the buttons on the computer"

Thank you for the pictures of your vehicle. It looks beautiful.
I am considering the same combination of blue (or possibly white) exterior and the Canberra Beige Vernasca Leather interior like you have. The brown dash and side panels look good on the internet, but I have not seen any in real vehicles. How do you like the brown? What color are the headliner, floors, and the back? Do you know of an option for a light headliner? Thank you, Allen |

Headliner is "Anthracite" - aka super dark gray. I do not know if there is any other option for headliners.. I love the look of my car! Way better color than all the rest I highly recommend you find a dealer with that color in stock though just so you can confirm its superiority! |

Is your problem solved to your satisfaction? Can you share the part number for the part they used to fix it? The same thing happened to my seat. I'd like to guide my SA to a solution that works. Thanks! |

Takes a couple mins to fix the issue and has been talked about loads of times. If you simply take the leather attached to the plastic rod which is pointing down and simply flip it back on itself, basically 180 degrees, and slot it into the slot it should fit back together and you shouldn't have any issues. Had it happen to mine when I first got it and havn't had an issue since.
