I have the disconnection problem with an iPhone X, which isn't listed in the notes above. I gave up on carplay and I am not sure if I want to go back. BMW's system is faster at changing track, but I liked using Apple maps or Google maps via carplay.

Downloaded the update for iPhone XS. Changed back to Apple Car Play. Drove 20 minutes to work and no dropouts. Left work and within 5 minutes I had a dropout. Switched back to iDrive.

Try resetting your system in your car and try again please.

drove about 4 hours yesterday on the new IOS software, not a single drop... hoping it will work now.

I have been waiting to hear some positive news! Glad to hear Carplay is behaving better.

I am going to start some positive threads once I get mine in the next week.

Someone from the outside deciding to get an X5 should see it's not all bad.

Posted too early...

it was good yesterday and was much worse today..

Kept disconnecting and sound would fade in and out... rebooted both my phone and a car... uh... annoying.
