Error codes (Visnhu procede3) and warranty
Hi All,
Just a little question, during the installation of my procede 3 chip, the car went into error mode. THe cause was that I wired some of the connectors wrongly. After fixing this the car drove perfect again. Now when i have the aggresive mapping turned on (by the remote) the car goes now and then into reduced power mode. After restarting the engine, the error goes away. Some research on forums indicated that this could be caused by an turbo issue, where the procede requests just a bit more psi the the turbo gives. Making the engine getting confused. I was wondering as I have to bring my car for service to the dealer, if they are able to see these errors have occurred and what I should say to them if they start asking questions. Ofcourse before I bring the car in, I will remove the procede and open air filters. I have a creader, would it reset the error codes, also from the cars history? Many thanks for your advice. Rismo |

Thanks guys!
Yeah i'm pretty sure that i'm before the 81 and the 29.2 software. (My display is still brown, not silver) and I did not get an software update after the delivery. My concers are about the alarm lights I have now and then. (THis is caused by a fake turbo power lose signal, caused by the procede mapping, see somewhere else on this forum) I'm pretty sure that they can see these errors in the car history.. (Is this a correct assumption) And what will they do with that? Thats my main question actually? Anybody? Thanks! |

They can see indeed the history of your errors. Even if deleted from dealer, BMW can still get access to them through their online system.

Barring that, there should be software available in the near future which can reset all of the codes completely. |

So I have to buy a blond wig (with all respect to the blondes out there ;-)) and act foolish...
"No clue, suddenly it happend, and it went away again" hmm, but seriously, this might be reason for BMW munich (that's the location where they check the car diagnose results, not at the dealer) to perform additional research and then they might see that my car went over the 155mile limit.... tuning and warranty might not go that well together... (and that is from a BMW point of view quite reasonable) keep you posted, car has to go for it's periodical service appointment on a short term.... |

in v. 2.02 Shiv showed another speed than the max speed. Something like 130miles or so. If you research speed delimiter and e.n.335, there was a disussion about that.
I dont know, if this is still the case.
