Settings for Mono AMP

Help please....

I have an Infinity 1211a w/vol control module 1300W RMS pushing 2 10" Kicker CVR at 2ohms in a MTX sealed box from circuitcity and filled them with a LOT of poly foam. It has a lot of bass, but the sound is still too punchy and what I am looking for is clean tighter bass. I am sure I need to play with the settings on the AMP, but don't know where to start or what those settings are for.

the AMP has a Dynamic Bass Optimizer (DBO) setting, as well as LP setting. Anyone here use this brand and what settings did you use to get the best Tight sound? not boomby sound

Thanks.

Sorry, wish I could help. I would have said swap the subs under the seats first. Considering this is in the trunk (which is deadened pretty good IMO) you may want to load it through the ski port...

the car is stock, no ski port option. I want to keep things as stock as possible. and replacing the stock subs seems too much work.

Plus, I already completed this setup. Just don't know how to set the amp

I would call infinity or call an audio specialist. That's probably your best bet.

but in general, what is the typical LP/HP for the mono amp? I am looking for SQ. I am still confused about the LP/HP thing.

by the way, is it normal for amp to be SO HOT to touch?. given that I am in AZ and mount the amp upside down on the rear deck. I mean REALLY HOT after just 15mins of use. it never shut off though. I thought class D amp are cooler.

I am guessing you would want to run it between 80hz and 100hz on the LP filter...

It seems to me that alot of the amps I have dealth with run hot, so I would not worry unless it shuts off or something...
