Individual Build Delivery Times

What is everyone's delivery timing for Individual Builds? Was quoted 8-12 weeks total. Confused as to why so long despite the X5 being built in the States...

Depends on what build week you got. Ask your CA for the build week and you'll have a very good idea

Mine took 3 weeks and one day from order placed to delivery to dealer in Maryland.

It's all about dealer allocation. If the dealer still has a build that hasn't already been customized by a customer(ie a "lease" x5 base model special) that's just about ready to enter production you'll get it pretty fast. About 3-4 weeks. You east coasters usually get it in a few days after it's loaded onto the carrier/train, but us westies have to wait over 2 weeks at times, so 5-6 weeks for west coast.

This is exactly right.

Took me about 2.5 weeks from deposit to delivery due to "slipping in" on a car already in line for production and changing its build config to my specs.

Mine took two days short of 4 weeks. They quoted me 5-6 max.

I t has been 12 days since order was accepted by BMW
but shows 047 no allocation and not production number for me to track
dealer said they had an allocation why I ordered but that must have been false.

How long do I have to wait just to get a production number so I can track it

I ordered on Saturday (May 4th) and had my build number on Monday (May 6th). My dealer had an allocation obviously. Expected to be built and delivered before the end of the month. It is a Cleveland delivery so that helps.

Yes also took me less than 2 1/2 weeks from signing the paperwork they told me 6 weeks I was shocked when dealer called and said he was delivering the car , no reason to buy a car that's on the lot , order exactly what you want !!!

Be prepared to wait just in case. My 40i Msport was a week 14 build. It finished 4/4. I still don't have it. I'm in Oregon. My dealer's explanation was that it took them a long time to unload the railcars in Oxnard. It's been unloaded for awhile now, and the new explanation is that they are waiting for a truck to take it to the pacific NW. I'm really tired of waiting. My order was placed at the end of January.

I didn’t think BMW was offering BMW Individual out of the Greer plant. What Individual options or colors are you getting?
