Lightweight Exhaust - Sound Video, which car?

So Lightweight is currently offering three in-house exhaust solutions:

- Catback without OPF

- Just the Muffler

- Complete exhaust from OPF

Each one of these exhaust solutions has the same promotional video on the page and it sounds quite good. However, I'm not sure which exhaust solution listed above is actually the car in the video.

There's another video around of the Lightweight exhaust listed with having midpipe with OPF, not too clear whether stock or aftermarket (I know lightweight was working on/has released an exhaust system that included OPF.

Exhaust sound in first video sounds pretty good, almost too good to be just the muffler or the exhaust from OPF.

Anyone got a better clue than me?

EDIT: First Video is Lightweight exhaust from OPF. Source

Not that bad

I'm driving to LightWeight in April and I'm hoping the exhaust they fit to my M2C will sound as good as some of the clips I've been hearing 🙏🙏🙏 (I'm taking the complete system from OPF)

If you follow them on Insta / Facebook there is a nice clip, albeit short, of a HS M2C pulling away from their garage.

A member called Phil is sometimes posting here, he has the HS car with the 'proto' LW system, the one in this Instagram

It's really hard to tell from all the video clips on the internet, but for me it is the one that sounds consistently good across all of them. But then again maybe I am being biased because I've already paid my deposit

It definitely sounds like one of the best.

Assuming I'd want to order it now, how long of a wait time would I be looking at?

Seeing guys at 2er forum making massive group orders, so I doubt they'll have an exhaust ready for delivery

You would have to call Marc Muller at LightWeight to see what availability is like. I put a deposit down a few months back so Marc could hold stock for me and I am driving to Germany to have it fitted on 20th April.

Sounds too raspy IMO. I think the stock exhaust (US version) sounds much better but not as loud. I wish there was a way to keep the same stock sound quality while making it a bit louder. The closest and also the cheapest solution is just to pair AA midpipe with the stock muffler but I want to get rid of that ugly thing as well.

Hmm I like AA too but I can't figure out if the single midpipe is a benefit or a hindrance.

I agree, maybe a solution could be AA midpipe + valved muffler, but not a raspy or metallic muffler like Remus

If they release an OPF sensor bypass (in the making) that doesn't require an ECU flash, my preferred route would be AA mid-pipe + painted muffler + BMS Tips.

If that's not possible, I guess Leightweight is the best route.

On a sidenote, do you have any experience/knowledge on how anal BMW in Italy is with ECU flash and warranty?

Hard to say, depends on the circumstances and the kind of intervention for which you need the warranty. On my 1M I had a warranty intervention after i flashed COBB and i had no issues with warranty, but it wasn't a big problem (fuse box).
