I am so tired of waiting for Dinan

I have been tempted on a number of occasions to try out a different tune since this damn DME81.0 Dinan flash is taking a lifetime to develop lately. What other tunes are compatible with the new cars?

Can anyone with a Stage 3 tune tell me how it differs from the stage 2. I know the numbers game but I am curious how the torque and hp curves look by comparison.

I am getting the JB3 when it becomes available in August.....I think it will be pushing in the same range as a Dinan Stage II.

Will a SSTT work with a DME81.0?

The amount of conversations I have had with Dinan reps has exhausted me. Everytime I talk to them I hear more vague promises and statements like "99% complete" and "almost done" I keep thinking that if they are 99% done than it should be ready tomorrow. WTF?? Nick Mitchell either got fired or got fed up and left himself. I was dealing with him for the first part of this ordeal and than Regan took over. They better be ready by August 10th or else I am getting somthing else.

JB3 on regular map will make more power than the STG2 isnt it?

Same here, think I will start out with the SSTT and maybe someday get a Dinan flash ... I want to lose the top speed limiter and stay reliable/safe. Of course, I am still waiting to receive my car (it is in route)!

Maybe it will--I was thinking that they were in the same range. Maybe the JB3 is more potent than I thought!

IMO--Dinan sucks....I can think of better things to do with 2K, especially for a tune that I couldn't even transfer to a new 135/335 or sell on my own. Overpriced to me.....

IMO, if I wanted to buy cheap tunes, I would have bought a Civic.

How much does a used piggyback go for? 1/3 price? Enough to even buy a full tank of gas?

+1000000

i cant see how people have hard time to get a tune for there 50k car that controls there engine and cry about the price.
this forum is becoming really cheap most people all want a 100-200 dollar tune to install all over there car.
dinan flash cost as most as it does becuase of its quality and the way it controls your 50K cars engine!

I think for what it is, along with the warranty, youre getting a good deal from them.
I would gladly pay $1500 more for the SAME power if i know that a warranty is there!
I wont pay $550 for some M3 side skirts though. Some things on E90post you just have to apply the common sense factor. lol

So you guys think that paying close to $7k for a Dinan S3 flash is money well spent? For gaining 50-60whp? Come on.....

no paying 2k for a stage 2 flash is def well worth the money for 50WHP+ with a warranty and somethign that changes hundreds of parameters to the engine and has been failed, tested, proven..

It's all over the place. Once you add in the cost of the tune, oil cooler, front mount intercooler, exhaust and labor fees I remember it coming out to around $6k-$7k. Not cheap.

thats if you want to do it...

you can just opt for the stage 2 without getting stage 3 and the equipment.

if you want a intercooler, oil cooler and such then yea maybe stage 3 is for you. you must be the cheap guy

Dude, you bought a $50k car and you won't to buy the cheap stuff for it? Yea, that makes sense. Show me a G35 or IS350 mod that will offer that much hp and torque for that price.

Let me get this straight...so when Dinan comes out with Stage 3 you have to also purchase an intercooler and additional equipment? Wow that could get very expensive. Glad I went with the SSTT for the time being...if that is not enough then I might consider Vishnu V3 in the near future.

Define cheap stuff. I don't consider the Vishnu V3 cheap with a price of $1500+ that puts out twice as much power as Dinan does.

Get off the Dinan bandwagon.

I got off the Dinan bandwagon the moment I figured out what they did with e46 M3 exhausts.
