SOP 04/19 - BMW Individual Amarone/Black Extended Merino

For those interested in BMW Individual Amerone/Black Merino extended leather. Looks quite nice if you're looking for alternate dark interior color.

That is sharp looking. Unfortunately my wife just can't stand the pattern on the Merino. I really like it but there are some battles that I know not to fight.

I almost cancelled my order to wait for that with Ametein Metallic but I didn't feel like waiting another 3+ months for the individual paint

Cant see the picture color that well. Does it have burgundy tint to it?

Are there any cars that have it already? M5? Any pics of existing interiors?

It's burgundy with black side bolsters and thighs supports, and black contrast stitching.

Very elegant! Would be an excellent contrast to both white exterior or Blue exteriors models.

Kelly Blue Book has had it listed as Late Availability for the X5 so it should be soon since the end of the year is coming close.

I'm very interested in the Amarone leather, and would like to see what it looks like in a full interior over lots of interior real estate. The burgundy looks almost like a Cordovan leather to me.

I usually get black interiors, but this could be real nice.

FWIW, found some pics for comparison with previous Amarone leather interiors

I don't know... seeing more now, burgundy can look really nice when new on a car. But as it ages, it can make the car interior look dated.

The link above is for the X7 - where do you see this color is coming to the X5? Any other colors starting 4/19 production? Would really like a cognac/caramel extended merino option.

They may have updated the order guide but I have been using KBB for the various options. Just click on Colors and Interiors to see what they have.

Beefcake found this video. Starting at 2:24 shows the new Amarone burgundy and black two-tone seating about to be released on the X5 and X7. Also shows the new crosshatch black trim with aluminum inserts. Generally, I like it.
