VEI boost readings with AA AP & question

so installed digital VEI boost gauge.
when i start car...it reads 18 vacuum
when i let of gas while cruising it reads 23 vacuum
boost max reading on valet (stock) is 8 psi
with AA Active Processor map 12 psi (3rd gear)
i think i got as much as 13 psi on highway (will double check it)
temp is 27 C
first...are the numbers right
i thought the AA AP was a 13.5 psi map

i have the spearco IC, Helene filter and cat back btw.

I think you would have to confirm that with AA.... I got the dinan flash.... and I think it runs max boost around 14? It usually around that... 13.9-14 for me atleast on my vei guage. 18 is cool..... that means its working good... 18-21 usually when not on the gas.....

u are seeing some pressure drop due to the spearco fmic. it's clear that the active processor doesn't auto-tune for these situations like the latest generation of piggybacks available...

On my VEI gauge... it reads -16 when I let off the gas. -8 @ a traffic light. At full boost.. I see a reading over 10.5. Is that right?????

When I cruise control.. it hovers +/- 1 or 2

the AA AP comes with a map similar to R07 for exede. it is suppose to be a peak 13.5/14 and sustained 13 psi.
i am seeing 12.5 peak and 12 sustained. max spike between shifts is 14.
i agree it is likely due to pressure drop with FMIC.
putting down 345 rwhp with 12 psi seems good to me.
but i think it's time to take advantage of newer piggy backs with IAT control.

this doesn't see right. what tune are you running to get 10.5 psi?

I'm not running any tune. I reset the gauge like the manual asked me to. It's stock ECU and everything.

My car idles around 700 rpm at the light.

Do you guys think somethings wrong?

Rick, I pm'd you on this too...how do you do this? Do I need to do it with my numbers (18-20 vacuum at idle, and 23 vacuum while letting off gas when driving)?

sorry my PM's are broken until the forum admins get around to processing my sponsorship renewal...

Here is a document I wrote that describes the best settings for the digital VEI gauge.

I followed the instructions by RiXster (whom the gauge came with the kit).

I'll go and reset it again tomorrow and see if I yield different results.
