Helix Attache STILL a winner (Update)
Ok, so as one of the first Beta-Testers for the Attache I figured Id chime in here with a new thread.
Theres been a lot of talk lately about how the new updates have been killing maps(from everyone). Im pretty sure I have 29.2 in my car which was creating a most uncomfortable driving experience with lurching and wah-wah's when traveling at a consistent speed. I was told that the Attache had been completely updated and was ready for trial. Drove down yesterday and had it uploaded. First thing that happened was I didn't like the new map. While it was much smoother, it felt MUCH slower. I didnt like that at all and I knew all of you wouldn't like that either. So after a bit more testing and a lot of fuel wasting(no charge to you guys, dont worry), the new map was developed. The car feels alive again as it once did. BUT its incredibly smooth now AND my mpg came back. Driving home on the highway at 80mph the car had no fluctuations in vacuum(checking my gauge) and it had great power wherever and whenever I wanted it. It is perfect now and for me, finalized. You will all be very happy with this new map!

helix was so hyped for so long and in the end, it was a sad disappointment... I thought it fell off the map.
I hope this is not another disappointment. How are you going to compete without PNP? How is it different than the old Helix attache? |

It sounds like it's just a map update for the Attache. And, btw, if I'm not mistaken, I think the Attache bypasses at least one of the solenoids (like the original PROcede v1). If so, then, it's not exactly s/w 29.2 or DME v81 proof; the BMW Techs will notice right away unless it's all removed and put back top stock.

how is it a dissapointment? we have a ton of very satisfied customers on the older revisions, this update is a NO COST software/harness update that works with 29.2 and v81 as well as all previous progman updates. air fuel and boost tuning is now done 4 dimensionally rpm x map x tps x AIT and the way we are accomplishing this the attache actually tunes for your mods ie if you have an intercooler it adjusts the boost and air fuel accordingly.
