Has anyone driven both the 330i sport and 330i M Sport?

I was hoping to know if anyone had driven both. The F30 I am fairly certain the m-sport and sport both had the same suspension. (I had an m-sport f30 and was mostly ok with how sporty that was).

I know the new one the m-sport is 10mm lower or something, does anyone know how much of a difference this makes ride / driving wise? Is the non sport still sporty (maybe i'm getting old, but the M sport look on a non M car is something I'm not as big a fan of these days, plus more color options on sport line which I kind of like better)?

In Europe, M sport package includes exterior bumpers, interior M sport trim and M sport suspension.

Sport Line comes with normal suspension but you can add M sport suspension for extra stiffness.

I drove M sport with 19 inch and was comfortable enough. I prefer though the ride on the stiffer side

yeah in the US we can't add the m-sport suspension unless we take the full m-sport package.

F3x generation the suspension was the same, so m-sport ended up being just a lot of cosmetic stuff, and the steering wheel.... this time well harder to know what the driving difference is.

I test drove three models:
  1. M-Sport w/ 19" wheels & RFT
  2. Sport Line w/ 19" wheels & A/S RFT
  3. Sport Line w/ 18" wheels & RFT

I did not get a chance to drive one with the 18" wheels w/ non-RFT, unfortunately.

My time in all three was limited, but in spirited driving I did notice more body roll in corners with the Sport Line than with the M-Sport. My perception (not sure this was objectively true) was that there seemed to be slightly less with the Sport Line and 19" wheels.

It is a close call, IMO. The ride of the M-Sport did not seem overly harsh. I would also say that the Sport Line also handled well.

Ultimately it comes down to your priorities given how and where you drive the car.

Did you feel any noise level difference between 18 vs. 19?

I would say that the 19” wheels were louder, however by no means was the car noisy with them. For comparison, my previous car was a 2016 X1 with the 19” wheels. That car was horrendously loud.

thanks a bunch for the feedback. I was really just hoping it wasn't like driving one of those f30 no line non sport suspension cars last time around and this is reassuring

depends on your local roads. if they are good, the 19's are fine, if not go with the 18's for more compliance and more reliability.
