Problem with bms dual cone filter
installed last night and it sounded really good. i could hear the turbos spooling and everything. but this morning when i turned it on the sound completely went away. it simply sounded like the oem filter.
no engine lights, throttle and everything feels the same. and the cones are still attached perfectly. does anyone know where the sound went?!?!

it has been pretty chilly the last 2 days, so the temperature is the same. and my car was fully warmed up as well. i drove it for about an hour and a half today and at no point did the car give me the spooling sound. everything just feels and sounds like stock again =/
oh and i've noticed that the car runs a little hotter now too.

No adapting needed for the sound of an open element filter. You should hear the sound all the time at the same rpm as when you first installed it.It might need to adapt to get the performance,driveability.etc.,but not the sound.

Maybe your filters grew a heat shield.
J/K This is weird because the sound should be the same as the initial install. Is there a possibility that you just got used to the sound that quickly?

Have you noticed before at what RPM you get the MOST sound? My setup (Spectre) is herd much more at higher RPM's. While I could barely hear it during mild driving or with my windows closed.

when they were working last night, all the spooling sound came from low-mid end. and it was loud as hell. i could hear it clearly with all the windows up and window wipers on.

Do you run a tune? I have a V3 and installed mine a week ago, and from the first moment on it was a very mild sound. But the more you "get on it" the louder it is. I think, this how it SHOULD sound.
