Not happy with my spoiler, fit and finish isn't good enough. Was secured with very strong VHB tape... worried how it will be with a sapphire black paint underneath.

Any suggestions on how to get the spoiler off without pulling all the tape and the paintwork off together?

Heat it up as best you can, (hair dryer or heat gun on low) then take some fishing line, and put it between the surfaces and use it to cut the tape all the way.

Then get some adhesive remover (paint safe) preferably the citrus stuff, then get to work removing residual, you can use a plastic blade too.

do not use fishing line and "floss" with it. it will dig into either surface and mar the paint.

Heat gun evenly without getting too hot and slowly lifting from one corner will do the trick.
