DCI coupling question?

Hello all,

I decided to go the DIY route for my set-up. I got my brother in law to fabricate couplings out of aluminium with the specs I provided. I would like opinions and if possible pictures of either the BMS or Vishnu ones (actually more interested in the Vishnu one's since I have the exact same filters that they use).

I think you should make the couplers taper more gradually and definitely put some grooves in for the clamps to grab onto. Other than that, I think they look great.

looks great to me...you should definately make some channels to increase grip

Installed them yesterday initial impression is that they are not very loud

and you do hear the turbo's slightly more

I will update to Stage 1 map to feel the benefit of the DCI this week-end

The other advantage of this set-up I have more clearance for the upper strut bar, therefore I removed the 1.5 mm washers that I had put on for extra clearance for the factory air box.

Looks awsome Nick, just don't know about that snorkel, kinda lonly there. The "Stage 1" will change your feeling about V3 in quite a bit, drops some MPG too. Don't forget you on the latest beta firmware "30" so upload the right map, and set the valet to 0

Btw I agree that they're not loud at all, just a little whoosh under WOT that's all. So comments like "Induction and Blow off galore" from some vendors could be ignored.

Whats the make and what are the demensions of the filters you used? and if you don't mind me asking how much did this setup cost you?

They are S&B filters (same ones from the Vishnu kit) actually came from a Vishnu kit!

The couplings did not cost me anything since my brother in law made them for me. So total cost was 65$ for the filtersa and that's it!

I will do it over the week-end but I won't get to try it out much since I will be away on vacation many of those days for the next 2 weeks!!!
