Euro Delivery paperwork timing
Can anyone tell me what lead time is required? I am scheduled for delivery on May 6th and leave for Munich on the 3rd. Would it be possible to wait till May 1st to see if the Finance/Residual numbers get better?

Yeah, you have to sign contract paperwork typically no less than about 2 weeks before delivery. So you won't likely be able to wait to see what, if any, changes that might occur with the residual value or financing rates. The residual value hasn't changed since the beginning of the year, so there is a good chance it will remain the same.

For what it's worth I picked up my car on October 5th one year and signed paperwork the day before I flew out on the 2nd... but that was a few years ago.

When I last done ED in 2015 there was ample discussion on the forums of people signing just prior to departure to Europe for their European Delivery. It's understandable that they would not like the contract being finalized so close to delivery...however once you give your signature all is well. The car isn't going to anyone else in the interim....
