What is the MSRP on this car?

Oops! I must have been real tired last night. MSRP is $67,650. I'll take a $2,000 hit; so, will sell for $65,650. Am test driving the Porsche Carrera S Saturday and if I'm not impressed with it, I'll probably just keep the M3.

I can get a new one for less than that.

Why would I buy an '08 for more when the '09s are just around the corner?

1200 is a way used car. No offense, but this sounds like an offer that a CA tries to pawn off on a dumb customer for a car that the owner of the dealership drove for a month and then wanted to sell. Only 2k off MSRP? I think you'll be selling this for a while at that price. If you want a serious offer, set a seriously reasonable price. And post pics.

there are a few dealers here posting NEW M3s for $2500 off MSRP. They have several on the lot, and this is before negotiation....consider lowering your price

Nothing is firm.

I just got one yesterday. Dealer said: selling at cost "FIRM". I left, they followed to my car and you know what? Guess how much below cost? I got a best deal in a Century. I can't even sleep lastnight.

Garage List
If you are serious for selling, post some pictures and a full option list. I do like the color combo but the price seems a bit high for a used M3.

Thanks for the tips. I'm new at this "posting pictures" thing, so here goes. FYI, I think at this point, everyone knows what a grey/fox red color options looks like; so, I just took these quick pics with my cell phone.

Options are:
Premium pkg
Technology pkg
19" wheels
Rain sensor & auto headlights
HD radio
Premium sound

I paid $67,650. I have an offer of $60,000 currently. Trick is, I'm not sure exactly what the '09 Porsche will cost with the options I want, so I may be stuck. Anyways, if anyone wants to make an offer, feel free. Any more "sales" tips would also be appreciated. Thanks guys.

That would be good news for me. I really don't want to take a $7,650 hit on this car. How do you know BMW is going to raise the price and lower the allocation of the '09's?

Nope. Have followed complete break-in guidelines. Will probably put another 30 miles on it this week, then take to dealer for first service. Great car. I just want something lower to the ground and smaller (a la '09 Porsche Carrera S). My '08 335i and '08 528i (wife) are quite similar in my opinion.

Mercedes and Audi will happily take the BMW's customers if they try to artificially decrease supply and jack up prices.

In all seriousness, most Bimmer owners (i.e. not the enthusiasts on forums) could easily live with a Merc or an Audi...
