Apple PassKey - WWDC 2019
Apple launched new PassKey at WWDC 2019 conference yesterday that should allow iPhone users to have the digital key on their phones.

They didn't mention this on the keynote but it was only 2 hours long so they can't mention everything new.
I think it makes sense to implement this in a new os so best guess is September and hopefully BMW is ready with updated software at that time.

It doesn't really matter, but just to clarify, the API is called PassKit not PassKey.
I hope BMW is aware of this so they can start working on it.
