iDrive version 07/2019.20 is available now. Unfortunately, it's not made available for G05. So the latest version is still 03/2019.60. Hopefully soon...

thank you. for the first time since getting my car on 7/1 everything seems to be working on the app

Yes, please let us know! This used to work on my original software version from last year. I am thinking they deliberately took it out so have been losing hope of it returning.

Someone posted in another thread that they were told by Genius the option was removed intentionally and will not be brought back. Who knows if that is correct though but I guess could be doing it to try and get folks to use CarPlay. Have we heard that it has been removed from the X7 and 3 Series as well?

No. I’ve looked. Each car determines when it needs an update. It doesn’t automatically give you whatever version is newest. If you read the documentation, it explains this.

I’ve had .44 since I got my car in June. Everything works great. My guess is that it will update when the update version offers some specific changes, additions or benefits.

No. You can start the ventilation but you can’t remote start it if you didn’t get that feature.

sorry i havent updated. they ended up deciding to replace my steering wheel for the non-functioning scroll wheel. they steering wheel is going to take 2 weeks to arrive so i will update then.

I just got updated to 7/2019/39 last week and have had a few new intermittent bugs.

1. Cameras didn't work either by putting in R or pressing the camera button

2. Driving assistance not available. Error message said I could find out more in notifications but it wasn't listed.

3. Two identical wifi networks were showing up in my phone.

There was one other but I can't remember.

On the plus side Carplay seemed to be more stable, once I could get it connected, and DAP seemed to ping pong less.

That one's on me, my bad, sorry. I've been on BMW non-stop from day one about their camera views selection software bugs and I am guessing they just said "screw it, if they're going to whine about it, we're just turning the cameras off".

You may need to insist installation of latest software prior t delivery. If they say you have the latest, ask them to do a key check and the printout will indicate there is a new software available.
