Odd spots

Noticed these spots on the hood. Are these from water droplets drying on the paint? Anyone have advise on removing? They are impossible to remove with regular microfiber+soap. Gtechniq panel wipe also does not remove it.

Pics are from various distances of the same spot on the hood under fluorescent lights.

Can you feel them? If so, they're hard water spots and you can use a cleaner polish to remove. Often sprinkler water will do this, especially if water source is from a well.

Or if it's only one spot, maybe etching from bird poop? Bird poop etching is typically repairable by you leaving the car in the hot sun for a couple days. The clear will self heal (so to speak).
