canceled my 08 order dct, for a 09 6mt, because downshifting issues, almost bought dct, would've been a mistake. M CARS SHOULD BE ALL 6MT, SEQUENTIAL GERBOX IS FOR LADIES.

M-DCT is not a sequential gearbox. Do your homework.

many people wish it was SMG III, no downshifts issues, if it is not a sequential gearbox, what is then? a automatic with paddle shifter?

Well, a true sequential gearbox can shift one gear up or one gear down only, it can't skip gears. DCT can skip gears, so it's not a sequential gearbox. When in Manual mode the DCT mostly is operated like a sequential gearbox though since three gears up or down mean three paddle clicks.

Anyway this thread should be closed right NOW.

Best regards, south

Just test drove one and I liked it. The salesman referred to the auto mode as the "wife" mode.

This is true for me since getting a DCT would be more of a compromise with my wife. How can I justify having 2 manual cars that she can't drive? Before someone asks why not teach my wife how to drive stick...there is a reason. Trust me.

I'm not saying that the DCT sucked at all, I just still prefer the manual. Maybe I'll change my mind over time.
