MGU/ID7 already code-able.

Anti-Dazzle also code-able already.

The only thing that can't be coded is the Euro Spec Laser High Beam intensity. I believe it is hardware limited.

Just VO Code, no FDL.
RG_Sport did it for me.

I'm coding myself now and working with another member here to hopefully determine if there is any more changes that should be made by comparing to euro spec X5. So far with just the VO code, it seems to function correctly.

I'm guessed Bimmer Code won't do this yet?

Not sure about BimmerCode.

BimmerCode is not as powerful as E-Sys.

How much to code anti-dazzling? If I drive update in the future, do I have to recode?

If the module that controls then lights is flashed then yes, you'll need to recode. It's not the iDrive updates. This is why many people learn to code themselves with E-Sys or they buy something like BimmerCode which is easier but less powerful.

I'm going through my build now and requesting manual removal of 5AP from the build sheet. Will report back when I hear from my CA.

Just saw your post.
Are you sure that you want to code it prior to get your car up to shape?
It will get reset everytime dealer update the firmware.

BDC_Body, HU_MGU, FLM (both), KAFAS.

Some FDL coding may be required.

I don't, yet, was more curious about the pricing and other info. My car is too busy trying to kill itself currently.

With the help of this thread (particularly r33_RGSport's comments) and inspiration behind the scenes from X54TH, I coded anti-dazzle on my 2019 with laser lights. Tonight was first test. There are definitely new lights behaviours and the brights are on a lot more often now in auto-lighting mode. I need a lot more testing, but no one flashed me and there was plenty of illumination in all situations.

With respect to coding, I did unintentionally manage to lose (reset back to stock) my previous various FDL codings on the ECUs that I coded for the anti-dazzle VO coding process (removal of 5AP from FA options), but it wasn't hard to recover everything. I am likely too much of a coding amateur, with more experience I suspect it should be possible to not lose previous coding.

So, much more testing needed, but seems to be doing something interesting so far.

The manual on Bmw drivers guide doesn't show anti-Dazzel for my 2020. I'm picking it up tomorrow so can confirm ASAP.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but is it possible to save your configuration after a coding session so that if you do lose any coding it's just a matter of importing the backup you created? Did you end up using Launcher Pro or EsysX?

Just picked up my 2020, how would I determine if it's there vs decoded?

To check against VIN (ie factory config):
- go to: https://www.mdecoder.com/
- enter your last 7 VIN digits
- search for 5AP

If 5AP present, means anti-dazzle is decoded. Might say S5APA and described as "DEKODIERUNG BLENDFREIER FERNLICHTAS"

Maybe a dumb question what does decoded mean? If I have anti dazzle decoded means I do not have anti dazzle laser light? Why is it important to have anti dazzle enabled? Thanks

Anti dazzle is a feature that's only found in the euro market because it doesn't meet US standards. Essentially in the EU the Lazer high beam has a longer range but it also has the ability to turn off the high beam discretely at the location of on coming traffic. So the high beam doesn't turn fully off, it just gets clipped so it doesn't dazzle on coming traffic ( or traffic that you're approaching). It's very sophisticated technology. If you Google it you will find lots of videos demoing the capabilities.
