These are the required codes for Assisted Driving View (ADV).

This code enables ADV when Assisted Driving is active:
DKOMBI\CB_FZG_UMGEBUNG_FAS: aktiv [01]

These codes allow ADV to be enabled at all times. After coding the changes, you can set ADV in the Central Display Area setting within iDrive:
DKOMBI\
CB_PRESELECT_NAVI_ANSICHT_FZG_UMGEBUNG: aktiv [01]
PIA_FZG_UMGEBUNG_FAS: aktiv [01]
SICHT_ABSICHT_ENABLE: aktiv [01]

Pre-Requisites:
- i-Step 07/2019.x and later
- 5AU DAP

Confirmed working on:
- UK G05 i-step 07/2019.47
- AUSY G05 i-step 07/2019.39
- China G05 i-step 07/2019.39
- DE G20 i-step 07/2019.39
- CA G05 i-step 07/2019.?
- US G05 i-step 07/2019.39

Not working on:
- CA G05 i-step 03/2019.60
- US G07 i-step 03/29019.?
- Swiss G05 i-step 03/2019.60

I have seen a bunch of posts mentioning this, but I have never done ANY of this in the past. Is it difficult to do? What tools are you using to do it?

Sorry to ask BASIC questions, but this is one feature I would LOVE to have in my 2019. I guess one I get my software updated...I am currently on 3.2019/60. But I am keeping a list of small issues for the next time I bring it in, and I will push them to update...unless for SOME reason the OTA updates decide to start working..

Any info is appreciated.

I can't confirm if it will work on earlier i-step, however, the settings have been available in psdzdata since at least 2018.

If BMW have released a feature with a specific i-step version it's best practice to use that as the minimum version.

I'll PM you with some coding links.

Post the coding links here if you don't mind. I'd like to try it myself

The best one is on a competing forum written by a member of this forum.
Not sure of the rules regarding these kind of links but here you go:

Does not work for me. Canadian Car, i-step 2019_07.60. I enabled everything in DKOMBI(4), however

Lenkassistent_DCS = gen_01
C_HOO_Vorhanden: gen_01

There is no option to change these to "enable" and "Vorhanden", unless its the actual werte i change.

I already have eJTA in my vehicle. The new option in the driver assistance does not appear. I must be missing something

Lenkassistent_DCS should be gen_01, that's correct
C-HOO_Vorhanden is vorhanden on my config (see pic). What is your werte for c_hoo?

You shouldn't need those 2 options to support the the assisted drive display view anyway

You have a later i-step than I have seen psdzdata available. Is your target connection lower than your actual i-step? Maybe you actually have 2019_03_60 and that i-step doesn't support the feature?

Just about to hit the sack. I'll test if the eTJA options are required or not and confirm tomorrow. Will PM you.

Thank you so much for the coding instructions.

I did some testing on my G07. I enabled everything but I still don't see any options in iDrive setting. So I assume there must be a code to enable the related menus?

I am on 3/2019 so maybe this only works on 7/2019 and above.

It needs 2019_07.x

It's been tested successfully by others on 2019_07.39 and 2019_07.47

bichoo confirmed his I-step version is really 2019_03.60

I've confirmed that, as expected, the 2 eTJA settings are NOT required to enable the Assisted Driving View menu item. I've pulled the eTJA options from the Opening Post to avoid confusion.

The key coding item to enable the visual menu is CB_FZG_UMGEBUNG_FAS: aktiv [01]

Thanks for confirming.

I think it's safe to say it works with 07/2019 regardless of country, and will probably work on all series that support the feature.
