Best radar detector for G05... in NJ
Looking for information about the best RD for the NJ area.
I had a old V1 in my 2012 X5 that worked great, but it never stopped beeping in the G05. Yes, thanks, I've read about the gesture control issue. Which is why I'm upgrading my detector. So, first has anyone tested a G05 with a Radenso pro M, ESCORT MAX 360c, or that new ![]() Second, how do they compare to the Uniden R7 that I see some users have installed? (regarding BSM, gesture control issues, and usefulness) Third, what's best RD for NJ? I've read at https://www.vortexradar.com/ that the Radenso didn't have the necessary X-band coverage. Thanks in advance. |

Nobody replied to you from a month ago! Just saw this!
I used to have a V1. too many falses in NJ. waste of time with those. Just as you said never stops beeping. My Escort Max 360 does not work in my 2020 X5 as the smartplug does not work with BMW lighter receptacles. Beyond stupid but Escorts reply to me was something like "yeah bmw uses a euro style socket". I would have preferred "yeah we have an adapter that will fit" So forget Escort Max 360. I also would not trust the new Valentine. Most likely I would look at the R7 next here in NJ. Would not worry about X-band. I don't think any cops in Jersey use X-band for quite a while now. Almost all are KA band and rarely laser for state troopers. maybe. Only other option is a hard wired hidden install of an Escort 9500ci or something. That will run you about 4k to 5k I think properly installed with a set of front laser jammers. I have the best guy who can do it if any interest. I am thinking of it for mine. I just realized today the Escort Max 360 is a paperweight in the new X5. |

Thanks for reply
RE your Escort
My very old Escort came with an adapter sleeve for european cars that worked. It looked like the image below. RE NJ and Radar I contact Radenso and Rin quickly responded. Here are my questions and their answers. My Questions: My old V1 doesn't work in my new BMW G05, always beeps - maybe gesture controls. I'm tired waiting for the new V1 and am looking at the Pro M and R7. So here are my questions:Their answers: Thank you for contacting Radenso! We have had a few users use their Radenso Pro M in their BMWs with gesture controls and do not have an issue with it. I will answer your questions in the order you asked them in: |

Update on my Max 360. After I posted my reply above to you I did more research and found somebody who put some solder on the tip of the Max lighter plug to extend it a few millimeters. So I pulled out my solder gun and put a blob on the tip. Tried it out and it worked! That was first problem solved. Second problem was gesture control. I had laser going off constantly. Some said to put tape over the gesture control emitter. Instead i moved the detector up and to the right of the rear view mirror. It worked and all the falses from the gesture control stopped. Drove the car today and all worked. I have to put some kind of safety in case the suction cup falls off windshield. That is a far drop down and will land right on the piano black trim. I don't think that would be good. I have the EZpass right next to the detector so might just do a simple hack with a bit of clear fishing line and loop it around the detector wire. This way if the suction cup falls off windshield the fishing line will keep the detector from crashing down on the dashboard or trim. Just a small loop so shouldn't be noticeable at all. |

A radar detector is programmed and installed for the waves. Most of the tips of my assignment help australia are visited for the turns. The move is inducted for all radars. The plan is vital for the approval of the sites for the readers.
