Assisted Driving View

I just had mine updated to .70 and to my surprise, still no Assisted Driving View. I just don't understand how a company as large as BMW could be so embarrassingly behind the times on bringing updated features to its owners, especially when compared to what Tesla is able to accomplish.

Get it together!

What makes you think they will make it available for the 2019's. It seems like a deliberate move on their part to have some distinction between the two years.

I guess the same could be said for the automatic low speed braking but thought that they may give that to the 2019's for extra safety.

Does anyone know what issues are fixed in 2019.70 over 2019.59

It's a fair question. I just think it would be a lame decision to shaft the crowd who has effectively served as BMW's beta testers for the new gen if they only make the feature available for 2020 models. I feel this is especially true since there are no real differences between the two models save for trim choices.

I have not seen/heard any technical reason the feature wouldn't work on my 2019 cockpit.

We're not really beta testers — beta testers have a way of reporting bugs and being heard, we have no such capacity. BMW certainly shows no respect for the suckers that ramp their cars into full production, so you should feel entirely free to shaft them on the next car purchase. I will be. Respect goes both ways.

True. This is an area where Tesla definitely shows more respect to their buyers.

I might've dreamed this, but I seem to remember seeing somewhere that the radar system in the '20's is slightly different than the 19's.

There have been some members here who have activated the Assisted Driving View on their 2019s using coding and it seems to work just fine. The radar system on the 2020s could have been updated though but may not effect the view.

PS. There are many more exciting things to dream about.

I recently got my s/w updated from 07/2019.53 to 07/2019.70
When i tried to code the Driver Assistance View using e-sys it could not read the CAFD file for DKOMBI4. I was able to code other functions like Auto_Start_Stop Memory, disable legal disclaimers etc..

Anybody able to code the Driver Assistance View in version 07/2019.70

Did you download current psdzdata for use with esys? Do you have current esys Launcher?
