Pics of My Vermillion Red X6 50i with 1 coat of Zaino

Sorry it has taken me a month to finally post these pics. I finally got around to using a claybar and starting the Zaino process. I only have one coat on so far and can't wait to post some pictures after I have 5-6 coats on. Differences should be stunning!

In my opinion, Zaino Brothers makes so of the best polishing compounds and waxes.

Looks perfect!

I ordered the Zymol Titanium kit and am waiting for that to arrive. I like the fact that Zymol products are mostly made of natural ingredients.

By the way I have been using the Big Blue III micro fiber towel and its excellent for drying; really gets the job done fast.

I like the Waffle-Weave microfiber towels from PakShak for drying and use 100% cotton or egyptian cotton made in USA towels for removing wax. I have tried the PakShak regular microfiber towels but do not like them nor any other microfiber towels for detailing because they pick up too many dirt particles that stay in towels and can scratch paint. Their waffle-weave towels are regarded as some of the best in the business. Check out www.pakshak.com

I actually just looked at the big blue III towel and it looks to be very similar to PakShak's waffle-weave drying towels.

The car looks stunning, I find the shine just does not last with this product though, I use Chemical Boys 109, it can be used all over even on the wheels and once the second coat has been applied it really looks great.

I would not be surprised if they were made in the same factory!

Car looks great. But I honestly can't tell the difference with Zaino.

Maybe after a couple years when the paint is old.

You won't be able to see much difference after just one coat of Zaino. Zaino is made to become more and more reflective in nature and more of a "wet look" the more coats you apply. After about 5-6 coats vehicles usually look stunning!

No one can beat Zaino for shine, but from my experience, it doesn't stay on for long. After one round of rain, it's completely gone...

Also, it doesn't repel water, dust, etc. as well as other traditional wax. Zaino'd paint never felt "slippery", if you will.

That's why I went back to Dupont Teflon wax... Nonetheless, great car! Make sure you do Z8, that's the magic!

Garage it.

Wash it regularly.

Wax it twice a year using whatever name brand wax is on sale.

My X5 looks like it just came out of the showroom. I'm way too old to spend every second Saturday with clay bars and multi-stage big-dollar polishes, but I wash it about once a month and give it a good shine every spring and every fall. I have used Zaino and it's good, but it's expensive and only available online -- too much hassle for me. I generally buy Zymol as it seems to go on sale once a year in my local auto store and it's easy to apply and buff.

This pic was taken on the X5's sixth birthday back in April:

Thanks. Thats about the limit for me too. I see you're not too old to tune your x5 to 400 HP. I did that with my old Nissan 300ZX TT and it was a lot of fun. Burned up the gas and tires faster but no reliability impacts.
