Curbed M4 - Cost to Fix

I’m currently looking to buy a used used M4 and I found one at a good price with all of the options I want but it’s got some pretty bad scrapes on the bumper. I was wondering roughly how much it would cost to fix it.

Probably 1500 or so. You could also put oem splitter and a lip on it and get away with it. How much damage can you see from standing position?

ahhh man I feel your pain! agree with those who say get a splitter/lip set up. The plastic liner however I am not sure, you may want to get a shop to take a look bc you dont want that slapping around down there etc..

contact Brit at PARTS@STBMW she will hook yo with a killer deal on a OEM lip and splitters and call it a day!

You will want to replace all the covers on the under side of the bumper. Or even upgrade to a metal plate on the bottom of the bumper to protect the oil cooler. Also to repaint the front cover will cost at least $500 to $1000. Depending on where you go..

Look up a BMW repair center... the local SoCal center offers the following special every couple of months.

The average price to replace and repair the bumper is between $1.5K and $2K, depending on whether the mounting hardware behind the bumper may have to replaced.

Coupon suggested by mindcontrollerone will help!

Definitely negotiate that into the price and look into a 3 piece front lip.

you'd have to get it fixed. M performance lip isn't going to cover all that.

I'd get the carbon splitters and m performance lip. Touch up paint on the spots in the center only. Plastic undertray is cheap and easy to swap.

The sides look pretty substantial, I doubt paint alone will really fix that. New bumper cover is $950 ish before paint FYI.

I don't see where the M performance splitters + lip wouldn't cover that

I would be far more concerned with what else happened with that curbing. Did he jump the curb at speed? If so, you could be looking at serious suspension damage.

I ended up having them repaint the bottom half of the bumper for around $450 before I had the car shipped to me. I've had the car for about a week now and have already scratched the hell out of the bottom of the bumper just going in and out of my parking lot. Oh well - you can't see it unless you look underneath the car.
