3rd Annual Fall Dragonslayers assault on ToD
We have room for a couple more folks for our 3rd annual fall Dragonslayers event running from 7-12 October.
We have three cabins reserved in Gatlinburg and have a room still available. easily sleeps 2-3 and with a little help maybe more. We drive theToD on Wed, Thur, Fri mornings (No LEOs, little traffic) then on to other roads. Saturday a scenic drive on some of our little known finds of past trips plus some Blue Ridge Parkway. so far: 3 e92 Ms; 3 e46 Ms, e60, 4-6 e63/64 including M. Any and all are welcome. You could also just join up with us on the ToD if you are close. PM me for details. Posted on event calendar as well.

Have fun and be careful as the THP has stepped up enforcement in the whole area with a special eye on 129.
I'd consider it but will be on vacation then and out of town. |

I envy you the driving. I got my new e92 in mid summer and drove a 3-day weekend on the ToD and the mountains and 1 day up the BRP as my break-in miles.
Here's a tip if you head north on the Parkway. Immediately north of Asheville there is a section closed. http://www.nps.gov/blri/planyourvisit/roadclosures.htm (Heading north, just before the road is closed is a store / artist shop, where you can get detour instructions). They told me there were two detour paths: 1) The way to minimize time wasted (maximize road speed), was get on I-40 East to US-70 to NC-226, leading back to the BRP. 2) The way to get to the first available opening back onto the BRP, but is slower. That way is get on I-40 East to US-70 to NC-80, leading back to the BRP. This involves some real back-country driving. I recommend the 2nd as you get to drive by a very pretty lake (Lake Tahoma), but mostly, the last 6 miles or so are just as good driving as the ToD, with slightly smaller roads, but very little traffic. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sadd...81024&t=h&z=14 Clickable Reduced-size link: http://************/6z3f3

I have posted several videos from this trip to the ToD. We had 5 E9x types including 3 e92 Ms a e92 335i and an e90 328i.

We will do this again in May 22-27 time frame. I will post up a new thread when we firm up dates
