DIY: (E90 ANdy) Vista DRL Angel Eye Harness

Hello, This is the DIY installation of my NEW Plug and play "Vista DRL Angel Eye Harness"

Okay, what to expect. No cutting wires. No taking off wheels. No resistors. No dummy bulbs. No Drilling. No Errors. No headaches. Simple eh?

Alight, to start off you will need the following materials

1. Vista DRL Angel Eye Harness
2. Socket Wrench with 10mm socket
3. Torx Driver
4. Zip ties (included in kit)
5. 10mm bolt + washers (included in kit)
6. Quick wire connects (included in kit)
7. Pliers
8. Ice cold Gatorade
9. Big bag of hot cheetoes
10. 1hr of free time
11. Go-Jo hand cleaner

Step 1.

Open the hood. Standing from the front of the car looking towards the windshield there will be 2 covers. There is one on each side. Remove those by lifting the plastic tab thingy. Next, there are Approx 6 Screws Holding in the Air duct for the air conditioning, remove those. Once those are out of the way remove the 2 screws that hold the air duct bottom piece. Once those 2 screws are removed you will notice that the whole piece gets loose. Try to wiggle it to the Right so you have room to work.

You will notice a large white plastic container looking thing, There are several plastic tabs that you have to pull outwards. Once the white plastic cap is off locate the Red wire with a white stripe. Once u locate the wire splice it with one of the quick taps i provide to the FUSE END of the harness. I recommend using scissors and gently removing some of the plastic insulator so that the connector can get a good "bite" on the wire. The wire isnt very big so be careful not to cut it in half.

Step 2.

Route the wires UNDER the coolant resevoir and through the wire seal (shown in the picture). This ensures a stealth installation for those of you who like everything to "look" like factory. Okay, Once the wires are routed through the OEM wire seal connect them back to the relay. The Yellow connector goes on the (37a) and the Fuse wire should be connected to (30). See picture below. Now, Once yellows connectors are connected connect the 2 blue connectors to the LEFT and RIGHT side of the relay. It doesnt matter which way it goes on. Gently tuck the relay between the white box thing and the firewall.

Step 3.

Remove the Passenger side headlight connector. Trim down some of the factory plastic skin to access the wires beneath. Next, Connect the Signal Wire to the Thick Yellow Wire on the passenger light socket. Using the quick taps now spice the Black and Blue striped wire and connect the Halo Wire to it.

Step 4.

Remove the Intake air duct. Do this by removing the 2 Torx screws as shown in picture. Now, with that out you can now run the longer wire along the factory cable/wire holders. Just press in the wire and it'll hold on there.

Remove the Driver side headlight socket and trim down the plastic skin. Now, Tap the Black and Green Striped wire to the halo wire.

Step 5.

Test. Key on, and Leave headlight switch on AUTO If you try to turn on the parking lights you might get an error because it will be powered by the harness. What the harness does is whenver the KEY-ON power is on, it powers up the Halos, However whenever the lowbeams are on, it switches on the relay cutting the power from the harness to the halos and use the Factory power to power the halos. * hope this makes sense * If you ever get bored with having the Halos as your DRL, you can always remove the 20amp Fuse Everything can be easily reversed and there will be no harm done to your car.

Step 6.

Zip tie everything and make sure everything looks stealth. Re install the Intake air duct. Reinstall Big white cap thing. And screw everything down. Drink your gatorade and eat those cheetoes.

Step 7.

Post feedback on the install and leave advice and info for others

lol, the Bolt, washers are for the Ground. Your car has a pre-threaded stud looking thing next to the coolant resevior. You will use the bolt to bolt up the ground
