BMW M Apparel

Am I the only one who thinks that the selection of Apparel for BMW enthusiasts is lacking?

My question is what would people like to see apparel wise. I would love to see nice M themed snapbacks, winter hats, joggers, etc

Wondering if I am crazy

Agree, I'm 5'10 / 175 and have problems with most of their European cut items not fitting. Hats are too small too.

No shortage of either of those at BMWCCA track events.

Wearing automotive manufacturer branded gear with logos is sad and pathetic, I think.

Not something I particularly do when it comes to automotive brands but I don't see a problem with representing something you love. To me it's the same as wearing gear for your favorite sports team. I don't own any BMW gear but a hat/shirt/hoodie is fine IMO. Wearing head-to-toe gear is a different story.

I have a friend with a Harley who says that once you buy a Harley, the only gift you will ever receive from that day forth is Harley Merch.

Not sure I've ever seen a ball cap without a logo, branding, or some kind of statement...and for those of us without hair, a ball cap in summer time is just PPE!

I'm not a huge fan of their basic lifestyle stuff and don't think I own any. However their stuff I do like, is their stuff that tells a story or sparks a memory, like the gear from the Performance Driving Center. I do buy that stuff because when I wear it, it reminds me of which trip it was, what I did, the fun I had and how I'd like to do it again. Might sound silly to others but I like it. Also those items are cut to American sizes but only available at the Performance Center.

I just ordered the M///Town stuff and really like it. It's also not in your face BMW ... more creative than simply a BMW logo. I grabbed the paintbrush logo down the back t shirt and hoodie.

https://shop.spreadshirt.com/bmw-m-t...verride=DESIGN

There's a link to the different logos created, not typical BMW mark up on these pieces, but they certainly aren't statement pieces.

I just wanted something to wear while working on my car.

Wow. If I see someone wearing a small manufacturer logo I don't think douche, I think enthusiast.

Coming from a small town, displaying a tiny bit of manufacturer apparel was a means to instant comradery. My problem with most of it is that it's too ostentatious, and that hasn't been solved with BMW.

I might wear an M hat or something once in a blue moon. I'd consider wearing something with a small logo. I really think the watches and some of the other stuff is a bit cheesy. If you are wearing 3 or more logos and not at a BMW event then you may need to reconsider, lol.

Agree, I have plenty of Motorsport paraphernalia I've collected from events I've done over the past 20 years competing, some was free with entry & some I purchased. It's no different to wearing football/basketball jerseys etc. except that I actually compete rather than sit on the sidelines spectating/dreaming.
As far as BMW branded stuff I have an M i-watch band I got online and a very nice M-town shirt my daughter was nice enough to buy me. If the self appointed fashion police have an issue with that it's their problem.

I have a couple of the M hats - I like the ones with just the 3 M stripes as it's very subtle. Some of the shirts with the classic cars are ok. I don't particularly like any of the flashy in your face things.

I bought a BMW M jacket on pickup day at the Welt, the one and only thing I bought at the store there. I'm not one for wearing much advertising or showing off logos but it's a pretty sweet jacket and it definitely bumps me up at least a point, from maybe 6.5 to 7.5, on the badass scale. I don't think it helps me drive any better, but I'm definitely better-looking in it.

I like to wear these F87 forum t-shirts when I go to Cars and Coffee. They're a good conversation starter. They're still available if anyone wants one:

THIS

Funny thing is people always ask if I work at the Performance Center.

Same with my Haas F1 polo .

Wish I worked at either

In addition I'm too old to give a shit what people think! If it fits I'll rock it.

BTW, if you're driving a new BMW most people think you're a douche already.
