No more M Sport Package for MY21

For the remainder of MY21, ZMP will not be available for the X5, X6 and X7. Supposedly will be back starting MY22 but not sure they know for sure.

Edit: This restriction is for builds starting in June.

Woof, that’s probably going to impact sales. Even though I went X-line, I’m a little sorry that I did. Probably a bigger deal breaker than air suspension or HK audio.

Seems like a terrible idea. The website still allows it in the build. It is probably a high margin option and likely not effected by the chip shortage.

There are issues with many supply chains besides chips.

Hearing some chatter that non M G20s and non M G01s might also be affected by this. Builds were pushed back to 105 from 111 or 112. Hopefully all of this should come back for MY 22.

Edit : someone also reported no HK when they tried to put in their G05 order on the pricing thread today. Unconfirmed from official sources at this time though.

Same here - ordered my 40i on November and took delivery in March.

Lovely spec with pretty much all available (except 3rd row, RSE or xOffroad).

According to one of the LH brokers, it may be done for MY21:
"There will be no more HK sound for at least the remainder of MY21. This also goes for cars that are already submitted and pretty much for those that are already in 150 or thereabouts."

I tried ordering a X5 with M Sport and HK audio today and was told HK is unavailable. Dealer didn’t mention the M Sport though.

man, I'm so glad I decided to order my 45e last November instead of waiting until this time (which was my original plan). the only thing i wanted that wasn't available for MY21 was the acoustic glass. I didn't care for the thermoelectric cup holders.

knowing how my vehicle is now considered a rarity for the time being makes it feel extra special every time i go for a drive. At the same time I feel so bad and guilty for anyone trying to get a new vehicle and know all these options are gone.

I just heard back from my sales manager and he has not heard anything about ZMP not being available. Either Jon got bad information or perhaps advanced info, guess we will see.

Edit: My sales manager sent me an email that they did get the news that M Sport will not be available starting with June builds.
